CNY: Taste of Music

For an exclusive Centurion Members event at Centurion New York, we partnered with artist Omar Apollo and renowned chef Kwame Onwuachi to create an immersive dining experience where courses were paired with chords. Guests’ journeys began upon entry with hor d’oeuvres served on spinning records and interactive speakers programmed to respond to their footsteps, blending integrated technology with elevated bites and music to create a fully immersive prelude to the evening.

For the seated dinner, I designed a custom dining table with a built-in half-circle stage, accommodating over 50 guests while giving Omar and Kwame a platform to perform, present, and engage with Members. Each course was paired with a curated playlist, ensuring that music and menu were experienced together in a seamless, sensory journey.

The space itself was elevated, modern, and minimalist, featuring abstract florals, purposeful sound-absorbing materials, and contemporary lighting. The long, narrow table and design-forward layout amplified intimacy while maintaining a refined, gallery-like aesthetic, making the evening a sophisticated blend of gastronomy, music, and experiential design.
